Since its inception in 2008, many classes have been tremendous supporters of Cowes Classics Week. This is simply because the event provides exceptional racing on the water, coupled with a fun and varied social programme ashore. A number of International Dragons have competed in the past, and an invitation is extended to all Dragon owners to join again this year. Current Fleets

Dragons are raced throughout the UK and Ireland in various numbers. The greatest concentration is in the South and South East of England, with fleets of 25 or more boats, sailing on the river Medway and river Crouch, and in the Solent. In addition, some UK owners keep their boats on the French south coast, where there are a number of regattas sailed during the winter season.
