Medway

The Medway has one of the largest fleets of Dragons in the UK. We race on a Saturday afternoon in our 26 race season from April to October and regularly get a fleet of 15 boats racing.

The Medway is a surprisingly big river. The racing is extremely competitive throughout the fleet and the key thing about the Medway Dragon fleet is that we like to enjoy both our sailing and social events.

In 2010 we hosted a 26 boat fleet for the BDA Dragon East Coast Championship in the wide lower reaches of the river which was enjoyed by all.

We have our own moorings and now have dry sailing provided by the Medway Yacht Club. In addition, our club also provides a weekly wash-off service.

The Medway Yacht club at Lower Upnor is only 20 minutes down the A2 from the M25 so is easily accessible.

We look forward to welcoming any visitors, new potential fleet members to the club and the Medway Dragon Fleet
