Medway Dragon Fleet
The Medway has one of the biggest fleets of Dragons in the UK. We race on a Saturday afternoon in the season and regularly get a fleet of 15+ boats racing. The Medway is a surprisingly big river. The racing is extremely competitive throughout the fleet but the key thing about us is that we like to enjoy both our sailing and socials. In 2004 we hosted the Dragon East Coast Championship and will do so again in 2007.
We have our own moorings and now have dry sailing provided by Chatham Marina. In addition, our club also provides a weekly wash-off service.
The club at Upnor is only 15-20 mins down the A2 from the M25 so is under an hour's travel from a lot of places.
