As KIN this top spec Dragon was in the top 3 in all major regattas. Her current owner purchased her for the 2004 Dragon 75th Anniversary World Championship regatta in Saint Tropez. Overall she was circa 15th from 270 entries, despite being sailed by a crew who had never sailed together before.
Since then this exceptional Dragon has spent most of her life covered up and in a shed near Dublin. She has had very little use and has not been in the water since 2006.

Description:
A solid early glass fibre Borresen Dragon, she has spent her life at Medway Yacht Club. An excellent introduction to Dragon sailing and no slough she was 10th from 15 in a fleet with 8 dry sailed boats.
She has winches but has been rigged to allow operation from the windward side. An automatic bilge pump is installed as well as a NASA depth sounder, both with lead acid 12v batteries. A TackTick compass is also included.
A Harken windward sheeting traveller car is installed to improve tacking and cleats and blacks are Harken where it counts. She is currently rigged with a foredeck spinnaker pole system.
The hull is antifouled but was scraped and wet sanded smooth last season giving a good finish.

Manufacturer / Year: Petticrows 1992/3. This is one of the few Sphertex Dragons that were licenced before being grandfathered.
Description: A well fitted out and fast boat which won the Edinburgh cup in 1998 and was second in 1995. She was also overall winner of the Medway club seasons trophy (the Irish bowl.)
A White hull with grey double boot topping lines on hull and side of coach roof. The sail inventory includes a one year old mainsail and genoa fron Lonton and Gray of Burnham. Tia is also rigged for a jib which is in good condition. The spinnaker is now three years old and used, and she has a light genoa.
Tia has been upgraded by petticrows with the latest winchless genoa sheeting system with guards on the cleats. She has a “boomkicker” and electric pump.
She has fittings for a flyaway spinnaker pole system but is using a conventional system at the present time.
There are sheerlegs and lifting strops and also mast supports.
There is an overall transport cover (old and sound) and a cockpit cover in good condition.
There is a steel trailer which is in sound condition.
The Boat is lying at Medway Yacht Club.

Galax has had a lot of work done and has not sailed been sailed since 2005 in Falmouth, when 2nd in the Dragon class during regatta week. With a very small amount of money spent she could be a top boat.
The hull has a stainless steel space frame and laminated bulkheads to support rig tension.

The hull needs some light sanding and varnishing but is otherwise very good, this 2 pack has lasted for years, boat has had light use since then. Petticrows installed new furling gear and Ian Symons of Rice and Coles in Burnham renewed all control lines and some blocks in 2009. The floors were raised in 2007 in laminated wood slightly to take the control lines to the bulkhead in front of the helmsman. All systems have not been used since installation, I put her in water last year in July to Sept but didn't have time to sail . In front of mast is virgin varnish. The Norwegians really looked after her and she was lightly raced in Alesund. I purchased the boat from Norway in 1996. I have her original Swedish and Norwegian measurements certificates. She has had 3 previous owners from new in 1969.
Price: As is £26,000 or - Re-varnished work and place 2 coats of Epithanes, under water, fill where necessary and paint with epoxy primer or antifoul then price will be £27,000. I can accept Euros or US Dollars equivalent to GBP amount based on rate at Barclays at time of sale.
