An evening of celebration

Last month we were finally able to hold our AGM and member dinner in London at the new venue, The Little Ship Club. It was a great turnout of Dragon sailors and BDA members from all over the country who gathered in the capital to discuss the upcoming season.

BDA Chairman, Simon Barter started the evening with the efficient AGM and updated attendees on matters from the IDA.

A packed calendar of Dragon events for the upcoming season was well received along with news of next year’s Gold Cup being hosted in Devon [more news on this coming soon].

Not only is the BDA AGM a great opportunity for members to stay informed and have their say on Dragon matters, it provides a great chance to network and meet with other fellow members and friends.

2021 Citron Trophy Winners – Badger L-R Ollie Spensley-Corfield, Tom Vernon

A delicious three course dinner was enjoyed by all that was followed by the presentation of the BDA Citron Trophy. The Citron Trophy is traditionally awarded each year by the BDA to the Dragon with the best cumulative performance at BDA events in the preceding year.

The 2021 Citron Trophy went to Tom Vernon’s Badger, after a productive year on the water winning the 2021 South Coast Champs, Scottish Championships and Edinburgh Cup. Click here to see all of the Citron Trophy winners >>>

Congratulations to Tom and his team! We look forward to seeing you all on the water this year. View all of the 2022 Dragon racing events in our Dragon Calendar, click here.
