Close racing in the BDA East Coast Dragon Championship

The 2023 BDA East Coast Dragon championships returned to the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Burnham. Would reigning East Coast Dragon Champions, Still Crazy GBR 827 hold on to the title or will it pass on to a fellow local Dragon or visiting team?

Day one included four races in excellent Burnham conditions and saw some very close and fun racing on the River Crouch. Visiting Medway Yacht Club Dragon, Fit Chick were overnight leaders with two wins and two second places.

The strong North Easterly breeze continued on day two of the East Coast Dragon Championship and sailors enjoyed another two races on the River Crouch. The close, exciting racing delivered a home win for Avalanche claiming the championship title, with strong competition from the visiting Dragons.
